How we collect, use, and protect personal information when you visit this site, request a Discovery Call, or engage us as a client.
Last updated: May 2026 · Version 1.0
Improve Your Team (IYT, we, us, our) is committed to protecting the privacy of the people who interact with our website, our practice, and our advisory engagements. This notice explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and store it, and the rights you have over it.
We aim to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Where this practice is not strictly required to comply (for example, by virtue of size or revenue thresholds), we voluntarily apply the APPs as a standard.
Improve Your Team is operated by [placeholder — legal entity name], ABN [placeholder], registered in Australia. The accountable contact for privacy matters is the founder, Leila Ghosh, reachable at hello@improveyour.team.
We collect personal information in three contexts.
The booking form on the Book a Discovery Call page asks for:
This information is used to assess fit, schedule the call, and prepare for it. Form submissions are stored in our customer relationship management system (currently Pipedrive) and used to send the calendar booking link, the Pathway one-pager, and follow-up correspondence directly relating to your enquiry.
During an active advisory engagement, we may receive — and create — additional information. This can include observations from workshops and Discovery sessions, anonymised reflections used for diagnostic mapping, contact details for staff who are part of the engagement, and material shared by you to inform the work. All client-engagement information is governed by the engagement letter signed at the start of the work, and treated with professional confidence consistent with senior advisory practice.
We use personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected, or for purposes you would reasonably expect — including:
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not share contact information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use client engagement material to train any third-party AI system.
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the practice — and only to the extent strictly necessary. Current providers include:
Some of these providers are based outside Australia. Where personal information is transferred offshore, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles the information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.
We store personal information in cloud-based services protected by access controls, encryption in transit, and password discipline appropriate to the sensitivity of the data. Access to client information is limited to the minimum people needed to deliver the engagement. We do not retain information longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or longer than required by law.
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you have the right to:
To make any of these requests, email hello@improveyour.team. We aim to respond to all privacy requests within ten business days.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal information, you can make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
We may update this notice from time to time as our practice and obligations change. The version number and last-updated date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly. Material changes will be flagged on this page for at least thirty days.
For any privacy-related question, email hello@improveyour.team with "Privacy" in the subject line. Postal address: [placeholder — practice address].
This is a working document, not a legal shield. If anything in here is unclear, ask. We answer privacy questions in plain English the same way we answer everything else.
